Victoria Centre provides a meeting place for the multi-cultural and faith communities of Wellingborough. Activities usually include: A Friendship and Lunch Club for the over 50's, Preschool, After School Club, Holiday Clubs and English language classes. Staff work in partnership with other organisations on projects, the welfare of residents and community issues. However, as a result of the COVID 19 Crisis things have had to change at Victoria Centre.
Services and The COVID Situation
Give the 3rd National Lockdown our Preschool Service is now SUSPENDED. We are however, providing a limited service for the Children of Keyworkers and vulnerable children. No other Childcare services are operating for the time being - we will let you know if this changes.
MESSAGE FOR HIRERS - Suspending Hiring Till March 2021
Unfortunately, given increasing cases of COVID 19 across the Country and ever tightening COVID rules, our Management Committee has decided to suspend large group hires until Spring 2021. We plan to review this situation regularly and may even reverse this if Government advice and local conditions allow. We are also not able to offer our facilities for party's or any group bookings. We must do all we can to keep our staff and centre users safe and help reduce the spread of COVID 19 in our community.
If you do wish to talk to us, in the first instance please email Marion Turner-Hawes, our Centre Manager on marion@victoriacentre.org.uk
BECOME A MEMBER OF VICTORIA CENTRE
We are regularly looking for new members to join our Centre and help lead and inspire us. The Community makes up our Centre and we are keen to ensure we have a mixed range of people and voices letting us know what help is needed in our community and how we can all work together to best meet this. Maybe you can help too?
Being a member can be an active thing where you along and help on activities or help run the Centre, or it could be less active where you are signing up to support the sprit and ethos of our Centre and share your best wishes and ideas. Either way we hope you will choose to join us. Membership is free until April 2021 so take the chance to find out what we are about and register today.....
